Description

The Pens don't really have much in the way of rentals and despite what's going on, Jake and/or Pettersson are not getting moved. They'll let Jake go for nothing before moving him.

That said, two pieces that I think could be good pieces to sell on are Eller and Acciari. They've been playing solid hockey and I'd be totally happy to not move them, but despite having term, they could be attractive pieces to teams.

TB doesn't do this and here is why.
A) I think TB goes BIG GAME HUNTING on a rental.
B) they have the cap to resign Stamkos and $1,000,000 or less contracts next year.

Fair enough. I think he can be good fit for a few teams, but I can get that.

I agree that they are decent pieces to move, however moving guys after just signing them isnt a great look for future FAs

It's definitely not and they're being moved due to poor play, but it may simply be an opportunity to get some futures and start over a little next year, and possibly pieces that could be used to incentivize other teams move other contracts.
