No way MIN accepts that, and Johansson isn't waiving his full NTC. For a guy who's been bumped around the league as much as him, an NTC is worth more than gold. I like Duclair, not sure that package gets him since other teams are going to be able to offer more. Probably not enough for Wennberg either.

Overall though, don't see this team as better. Wotherspoon and Lohrei make for a rough 3rd pairing D even with Shatt rotating in. Middleton isn't particularly offensively inclined and Boston has the fewest points from defensemen in the league, this makes it worse.

They've actually played well in 3/5 of the games after ASG, unlike most of their wins before where they got outplayed and managed to win.

As seen with the 7 middle-six forwards they have, guys like Duclair/Wennberg/Johansson won't move the needle. This team needs top6 talent and they just don't have many assets nor they should they give up 1st/2nd for rentals. Middleton is a #4/5 D.
