every canucks fan who posts this mikheyev for smith swap is gunna be disapointed when the find out smith scores at a similar rate to mikheyev but with less impressive underlying numbers

Just comparing the two on evolving-hockey, I'm not seeing Mikheyev's numbers being more impressive. I think they've been fairly comprable players this season, and Vancouver just has the luxury of playing him in 3rd line minutes.
For what it's worth, I don't think Smith and Malkin have a lot of synergy. I think it could be a good bet for both teams to find a guy who fits their scheme better and have their numbers improve.
