Unless you believe this team is going to go all the way to the Stanley Cup finals, you're the worst General Manager in history!

If they get bounced in the 1st or 2nd round (which they probably will!), you've lost all of those prospects, you've lost that first round pick and with Hanifin being a UFA and American, he's probably going to an American team like Boston.

Dubas used to make a splash like this for so many years and now its no wonder the Leafs farm system is garbage.

Hanifin is never gonna re-sign with the Leafs so why would they do this, id take it as a Flames fan but you guys get hosed if he walks for nothing which is almost 100% likely.

Hanifin wanted $8,000,000 to remain with Calgary due to the high tax base, And Ontario's tax base is higher. So Hanifin isn't taking less in Toronto. Plus he's not waiving there or signing there.
