Anderson is traded to free up roster spot either with % retained and/or added draft picks going other direction

Some D-Men are traded out for future picks - Savard for a return this year/next year, and see Harris and (unless he makes big improvements) Barron shipped out to recoup future top few round picks to keep future pipeline restocked.

If Eiserman isn't ready, perhaps Farrell, Heineman or Ylonen could slide into 3rd line winger. Potential for a very good 9-top FWD.

I can happen! In 2 years time, Montreal will likely make the playoff and have a good core of mid 20 years old trying to compete for a playoff spot and Crosby would be the biggest piece/mentor that montreal could sign. If he wants to come, we will gladly sign him to whatever he wants, but if wants to stay a pens for life, thats okay.

The only thing I can add to your team prediction is that I dont think montreal will sign big UFA before the end of the 2025 season. I would let the young guys have all the ice time to get better and after that sign one or 2 big piece like Crosby, Draisaitl per exemple, that only become UFA once in a lifetime. I know that it's dreaming big of signing these guys but mtl will be in a position to make a good offer to very good players who understand that they could be the missing piece to a cup winning team
