?? Robertson and Niemela are both better now and both have higher upside than Hirvonen.
I think Hirvonen is much more intriguing than either. He might never pan out, but I love his motor and skillset. Versatile player who should be able to carve out a niche somewhere assuming the eye injury isn't/wasn't serious.
Robertson can't stay healthy and is about to lose his waiver exemption. Hasn't stolen a spot when healthy, is undersized and injury-prone. Game doesn't lend itself to a third or fourth line role. Worth more to the Leafs as cheap depth than any other franchise, except a team like the Sharks if they are willing to roll the dice. Definitely talented. Hope he carves out a spot somewhere, but can't see it in AZ. He won't beat out Keller, Schmaltz, Maccelli, Crouse, or Guenther for top six ice time. Poor fit in the bottom six where you want guys who can PK or who have size, etc.
Topi isn't that great to me. I know he was named top d at the world's a few years back, but he never looks dynamic to me. If you're drafted for offense, you want to see something more. I think his ceiling is as 4D stay at home type, and I don't know if he makes it. He's in a similar spot as Soderstrom, trying to put it all together.
