not sure why AZ does this - a bottom pair and bottom 6 W (on expiring) arent going to get much at TDL, retaining on dumba leaves one slot left, lose 2x 2nd to get a later 1st (i still think EDM will be in the playoffs) is meh. for AZ seems a trade that doesnt need to happen just to make a trade

AZ is for first time in years fielding decent team that looks to play meaningful games late in the year, trading G hoping to get lucky on waiver claim is a bad look to team and fans. for bromberg dont see him besting moser or valimaki so hes up against dermott for 3LD icetime, and the retention for 2 years is tough to take when already have slot tied for 8 years. AZ has a million 2nds also. just saying not that the value isnt there dont see the why for AZ

anyone? you make it sound easy to find an extra NHL decent backup G. Vilalta is doing well in tucson but never sniffed NHL. I dont think AZ is shopping Veg anyway, and why is broberg and tullio that good of a deal? not to be wise ass but he cant crack EDM bad D and tullio doesnt seem to be playing anywhere yet

Dont see AZ giving up on Veg yet, he has struggled to start the season but there isnt anyone ready to take over anyway. Add to retain for 2 years leaves AZ only 1 slot for that time.

i know GMBA loves picks but a middle 1st (this year not a great draft) if goes for D wont be ready for 4 years vs getting 26yr hanifin who should be a pretty sure top pair for the next 5 or so years, I say its worth it. looking at the D going forward - Durzi, Moser, Valimaki ? (top 4), then szuber, soda, duda, kesselring and koly - dont see any being top pair guy, simeshev should be in 2 years and maveric maybe in a few years. There is a lot of bottom 4 and solid depth just not that top guy.

hanifin is in prime, can score, is big, eats minutes and can defend.

the nhl player and the prospect will make or break the trade. For AZ not sure want/need dube - bottom 6 F arent much concern, but love to get hanifin and lindhom.
would 1st, 2x 2nd, 3rd + soderstrom, jenik and raty (prospects) + boyd and dumba or stecher (all TDL) do it? - BOS 1st will be late the 2x 2nds are better
obviously both are resigned for 5/6 years

while not impressed w dumba play he is not klingberg 2.0. dumba doesnt play on PP at all and has no offensive game in him, but he actually has been real good on PK, its on 5v5 he has struggled. my 2cents is 5v5 in the O zone he tries to be what he was years ago and gets caught much too often, he is decent in the D zone. if only got ice for PK and D zone starts not gonna hurt you.
