Trades
MTL
  1. Cates, Noah
  2. 2026 3rd round pick (PHI)
Additional Details:
Habs get a defensively responsible, although pricey, bottom 6 forward.

Not really looking for too much value here. Just going off the post on twitter stating Hughes likes Harris and would focus on moving him to a team where he could get playing time.
PHI
  1. Harris, Jordan
  2. Pearson, Tanner
Additional Details:
With Seeler and Walker possibly getting traded. Harris makes the most sense as someone the Flyers would have interest in.

But with the Flyers still in the playoff race, adding someone like Pearson for playoff depth and replacing Cates production (they are almost identical) and spot in their bottom 6 makes sense as well.
Cap space is a non issue with Cates, Seeler, and Walker's salary coming off the books.

The draft pick could be higher or lower, 2nd or 4th rd pick. doesn't make that much difference to me.

Flyers pass, we do not need defensive help and we really don't need a 10 pt winger who is getting paid $3m+. We have tons of talent that deserves their shot in the AHL. Plus we currently have 8 defenseman on the NHL roster. Even if we deal all 3 of Seeler, Walker and Staal, I highly doubt we add anyone.

Good idea, but we would be the ones adding a pick. Also take out Pearson, no one wants him

Pearson was a throw in, really makes no difference if he's in the deal or not. I just thought with PHI still in the playoff race, and Pearson having playoff experience, it's a no risk addition.

I have the pick coming MTL's way just for the age and salary difference between Harris (23 at $1.4mil next season) and Cates (25 at $2.625mil next season). But again, not that big of a deal.
