You may be right. Tarasenko just might tell the Sens....I would rather rest in mid April to mid June, instead of being in the playoffs.........unless it with a specific team(s)

I have wondered why Shane Doan is so revered in Arizona. He declined multiple times to be traded at TDL. In effect, he didn't want help Arizona get young assets, just because. he wanted to golf in April.
He kept on resigning with Arizona, but by refusing trades, he really didn't help Arizona.

I can't imagine Tarasenko went to Ottawa without a handshake agreement to be traded elsewhere if they weren't in playoff position (similar to Kane with Detroit). Especially considering he chose them over definite playoff team in Carolina. I know he publicly stated that he (and his family) loved his time with NYR, they just couldn't afford to keep him this past summer. Here is hoping he says only NYR so they can get him a bit cheaper.
