Go ahead and keep Eller, do you really think COL is going to trade for him again after how bad it went the first time? The answer is no. And with that extra year on his contract PIT won’t be getting a 2nd a for him from anybody.

it is a plus having the extra year. he is a good player

No it isn’t. You’re talking about being on the hook for another $2M in cap space

That doesn’t make him more valuable that means any team taking him on is on the hook for more money. Throw in he wasn’t successful in COL, and why is a team paying a premium draft pick valuable cap space for an older bottom 6 guy. COL isn’t doing that.

Have to agree with him here.

Got to put on your critical thinking hat on. Yes, Eller has been a good player for the Pens...but why would a team trade for the same player back to back trade deadlines? Especially when it was not received well last year.
