i really wouldn't call 8x8 a lowball, he's a 8-9 mil a year type of player. i would say it's fair market value for him

I had read it was about $50M. Big jump over that. I think the Pens offered him 6x8-8.5. he wants max term probably.

And if they dont win the cup??? One and done. Canucks old school. They cant afford Guentzel or Lindholm or Walker and they give up a whole bunch of great prospects that will keep the CAP reasonable in the future.

That rumor was shot down by guentzel himself, he said he wasnt offered a contract yet. Personally unless someone overpays don’t think he will get moved, saw some reports saying dubas is looking for 2 1sts, but idk how true it is.
