The return to Calgary would be from Florida, Florida is only paying the Canucks for retention

I wouldn't go so far as to say there wouldn't be interest. Just that he is negative value in a package so additional assets would need to be attached. This package however is not impressive at all and I would expect Dubas could do better especially if willing to retain 50% AND take back cap hit.
