I think swap the 1st to the retention team and the 3rd to Vancouver and it’s more fair

Canucks accept, the retention by a 3rd party might need more than a 3rd though, as $2.5 over 4 years is a lot

2024-25 Vancouver Canucks
Canucks are certainly accumulating some good pieces now, but if they manage to nab Smith and Reinbacher in the draft, they’ll have a really good core moving forward

Could the Sens drop the 2nds and change the 2024 to 2023 1st? Seems unlikely they would move a top 10 pick but it would be similar to the Cory Schneider deal

I’d do Horvat for Wallinder + pick, would Detroit?

Definitely not, Rasmussen and Veleno are not high end pieces.

Hmmm
Committing almost a combined $30 million to 4 defencemen, 3 of which are only worth half their value, seems very counterproductive.
Trouba also won't waive his NMC for a Canadian team

It's not a bad offer, and I would take that, but I think it lacks the high end piece the Canucks want

Not as horrible for Van as you might think, maybe add a mid round pick because Puljujarvi and Yamamoto have no value to the Canucks

Way off the board
I would do this as a Canucks fan if Kravtsov was replaced with a mid round pick. 2nd or 3rd. I personally am a huge fan of Chytil and I think he is exactly the type of player Canucks management wants and would fill Horvat’s void.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OldNYIfan</b></div><div>Petersen and the third for Demko is fair. Walker is better than Schenn at RhD. If you want to wave the white flag by admitting that Kuzmenko won't re-sign with you, we'll give you Grundstrom for his rights and then add the Walker-Schenn exchange if you want. Kaliyev and the first have nothing to do with anything here.</div></div>
Even though Demko hasn’t been good this season, no way Petersen and a 3rd is fair. He’s been sent on waivers.
