Minni doesn't have the cap or certainly not the desire. One year of Marner isn't worth all of that
Leafs sign a UFA Dman instead of trading Cowan and a first rounder and their no implications instead of one Hronek.
Too much $$$ and term for the inconsistent Duclair
Too much $$$ and term for the fading, aging Lindholm.

I don't think the Wild take it either, but for what it's worth they actually would have the room even next season if they offload Boldy's AAV in this trade.
