Don’t think Ottawa should be trading away 1st rounders, especially for Laughton. Another team might bite but doubt it’s Ottawa.

I was back and forth on Ottawa and Buffalo, both teams have expressed need for veteran presence and wanting to turn around their ships. I went with Ottawa cause of the G connection, but I understand why you’d be against it.

Edmonton declines both. Seeler trade bad for flyers. Ottawa declines. Detroit declines and Stevie yzerman tells you to stop wasting his time as he don't like giving up draft picks.

It’s not a bad move, Laughtons a solid player and like you said, a player Ottawa would be interested in. It’s more so Dorion screwed the pooch trading away 2022 + 2023 1sts, we lose a 1st for the Dadonov debacle (likely the 2026 1st) and he picked Tyler Boucher in 2021 who has played about as much hockey as I have the past 3 years lol man he was terrible!
