MTL are rebuilding, they are not spending assets to be competitive
Kent Hughes traded Toffoli because 1. He wasn’t part of the plans, he wants a speedy team, Toffoli is the opposite of fast. 2. A team offered what he was looking for.
Monahan will be looking for both money & terms, this is definitely not it. MTL won’t give him a long terms contract, and Kent Hughes didn’t talk like a guy he would bring back this offseason.

Crosby is 36 has one year left on his contract and you think he is worth more than a n#5 overall pick with Hutson and Suzuki ? 1 on 1 Suzuki is more valuable than Crosby because of age and contract. Removing Suzuki from that bundle and I think it could make sense.
