Habs fan here. While I love the idea of moving Josh Anderson I can't imagine a team in win-now mode would take on such an inefficient contract even with the sweeteners. Only way i see him moving in the next 1-2 years is for a similarly bad contract - perhaps with slightly less term if the team sees a need for a big winger who (used) to be able to forecheck

I agree, a team that would be rebuilding and wouldn't be hurt by a buyout could do this as the damage really only hurts for a year in three years if you bought him out this summer....however, he'd probably have a lot of those bad teams on his NTC protection and I can't see him wanting to go to a place to be bought out. The issue with the picks is they are all very low for their round, so it's tough to make the argument it is worth it too much to many teams.

But at least you aren't a Habs fans thinking Anderson is worth Holtz let alone Nemec!

Of all the Holtz for Anderson offers I've read on Capfriendly over the past 4 years (and oh god there have been a lot), I think this one is the one that made me want to die the least, so kudos for that. But the Devils still do not want Josh Anderson.
