Yea lets not go get an undersized Dman for the top 4....

5'10 174 pounds is not it

Also yea trading Robertson for a struggling 3c making 2.5m is a NTU. Robertson be producing better than him

🤦🏻‍♂️ you just don’t give up don’t?

Carrier may be small in size, but he plays as big of game as Edmundson. A lot of push back from him and physical play. Would be a nice fit actually.

& as for Glass for Robertson and you strictly comparing points… how’d that Toffoli trade for a struggling 3C work out for Calgary? 30 goals from Sharangovich is pretty nice. … just cause a guy struggles on one team, doesn’t mean he will somewhere else. Leafs need a centre more than they need Robertson playing in the bottom 6 and making too many mistakes.

Yet again, you should learn some hockey before your ignorant comments.

Go look at the Dcore team VGK fielded when they won the cup than come back see if any were Carrier size. Heck look at the last 3 cup winners if any have a 5'11 174 pound Dman in top 4 show em

Unless your name is Makar undersized D dont work in the top 4 for the Stanley cup its to much

Trading Robertson who on his next deal is gonna make less than 2.5m for a struggling 3c is a disaster move waiting to happen. When CGY traded Toffoli for Sharangovich they sheded cap not added.

Are you Brian Burke or something?

Purely judging someone based on their sized is the dumbest thing possible.

Go read a scouting report on Carrier at the very least. Better yet, go watch him actually play. You’ll see how physical he is.

… but if size is your only concern would you take Brayden Point on your team or Yani Gourde? Both are listed as smaller than Carrier but both play a physical game and there was a time when people said that small forwards couldn’t help you win the cup and look what both of them did for Tampa.

Lets look at history of the last 3 cup winners and their Dcores as u dont seem to see the formula

2021 (TBL)

Hedman 6'7 244 pounds
Foote 6'5 224 pounds (7th Dman)
Cernak 6'3 230 pounds
Rutta 6'3 204 pounds
Schenn 6'2 225 pounds
Sergechev 6'1 217 pounds
Savard 6'1 235 pounds

2022 (AVS)

E. Johnsson 6'4 225 pounds
Manson 6'3 218 pounds
Toews 6'1 191 pounds
Byram 6'1 190 pounds (7th Dman)
Murray 6'1 206 pounds
Johnsson 6'1 225 pounds
Makar 5'11 187 pounds (generational Dman)

Girard (inj in playoffs and did not play past R1) 5'10 170 pounds

2023 (VGK)

Hague 6'6 230 pounds
McNabb 6'4 201 pounds
Pietrangelo 6'3 215 pounds
Hutton 6'3 201 pounds (7th Dman)
Whitecloud 6'2 207 pounds
Theodore 6'2 197 pounds
Martinez 6'1 210 pounds

The formula is sitting right in front of us. There are no 5'11 174 pound guys besides one and he only played 7 playoff games then got hurt. Team won but he didnt play

Forwards it dont matter for size but for defense it does. If you would like can even look further back but skip TBL's first cup. Cause in the end having a football team on the backend, good forward depth and goaltending is how you win

For a SC contending team Carrier is not someone you want in the top 4. We see above what management want out of their Dcores come playoff time
