Holl Lee

Detroit gets to move on from Holl, who hasn't worked in our system. By adding Lee, we get a big physical forward, 158 hits this season, who also has skill and is a good leader. He could possibly benefit by playing with a more offensive style team. Quite a bit of risk taking on this big cap hit but getting a player like Lee at basically no cost I think would be worth it.

Islanders get 3.6M in cap space. Lee gets a fresh start. They also get a player to play as 7th D or as injury insurance if Mayfield gets hurt again or doesn't recover fully from surgery. Holl I think would do better in a more defensively structured team like the Islanders. If they want extra cap space they can buy him out and gain 2.2M+.
