Heh. First of all, Lindholm was openly on the market - Buch is definitely not. Perhaps most importantly, the Blues have different needs than Calgary, so I think you took the comps a bit too comp-y - think equal value more than same position. As to the package, the only comp piece worth more than the corresponding Lindholm piece is Woo - which is great, I'd love the guy, but he's not making up the sizable difference. And neither Raty nor Podkolzin is going to sway Army. This is all the stuff Vancouver would be fine giving up, as opposed to what the Blues would want.

Honestly ask yourself? Do you really think that offer would be the winning bid on Pavel Buchnevich, Because I can honestly say without a doubt. That offer is easily beaten.

I think most of the comps I made are equal value if not more

Kuzmenko maybe a bit more valuable than Mikheyev but they’re close. Kuzmenko has a higher ceiling but also a lower floor

I think D Petey is more valuable than Brzustewicz. He’s looking like a really good prospect so far in his development

The 2025 1st could definitely end up being higher than our 2024 1st

This would also only happen if the Blues and Buch can’t agree on an extension, which I feel like would lead the Blues to start shopping him

When you look at what pending UFA wingers have returned historically I don’t think it’s that bad of an offer

I do not agree that Elias II is a better prospect than Brzzy. I can understand why someone would, but I do not agree. Brzzy definitely has a higher ceiling.

Kuzy-Mikh, okay, but again this is a piece where the comp was taken to literally. A middle 6 winger is not a priority.

Higher or not, the 24 1st would have had more value to the Blues because of all the top D prospects. And not waiting a year.

I'm not really worried about extension talks. Army is very generous to his guys. Often to a fault. And players love STL.
