Description
If Chytil can make a return in the playoffs, this is how I'd like to see the lines. I think he would play on the 3rd line initially, but unless the Zibanejad line catches some miraculous fire, Lavi will throw this line together and it'll take off. Lavi is definitely high on Chytil; prior to his injury he was skating in the top 6 with Panarin/Laffy. Can't break that up now, so here's the next best thing.

With this, I think it's possible Roslovic could fall out of the lineup depending on opponents, if he can handle the LW, etc.

I like the even TOI the new d-pairs allow, but can see it going either way. Minor details to me. I think Trouba has not been 100%, hence his lackluster play since returning. Maybe this was a way to "rest" him slightly. Move the bottom two d-pairs as needed, but those are definitely the best 6.

Also included are the first call ups/subs at each position

I agree with that line up but I honestly think we are going to see more of Rempe than people think. I see a 4th that has cuylle, goody, rempe, edstrom rotation to have a solid checking line to wear down the other side. Cuylle seeing some 3rd line time. Then I see brodz as a fill in for goody to give rest as needed. Chytil, Rosy, Vesey will likely have some form of rotation for 2 positions. But he only real constants I think we will see is bred/troch/laf/zib/kreid/wenn/kakko(if he’s playing well). Chytil would be there also if 💯 .

They’re not gonna call up Edstrom to have him sit in the press box. He will be playing in the AHL playoffs and they’ll probably call up Pitlick

Rempe will probably be scratched game 1. Lavi barely plays him when the games are close

I previously would agree with Rempe, but he doesn't play him over 6 minutes during the regular season. With Chytil possibly returning, I can't imagine anyone would sit for Rempe. Only if the series gets crazy and he needs to smack someone.

Hard to argue with Lavi's approach, but I'm not sure why he doesn't play Rempe more. I haven't seen any glaring defense lasps. It is what it is, but Cuylle, Goodrow, and Vesey will all dress before Rempe on that 4th line

Honestly think he’s been trying to keep rempe from having altercations or a possible suspension before playoffs. When playoffs are supposed to be at its roughest I think we will see more of him. It’s just a gut feeling is all. I don’t think Chytil will sit for anyone to be clear, anyone but himself. If NYR is up big in a series I see him taking rests to remain healthy while allowing others to take on the physical work load. We can only speculate with Chytil and his health but the fact that he’s back and skating at practice should be telling that he will skate in playoffs. If it was just for the sake of skating he would be doing it back home

Well 8:33 TOI for Rempe. On the ice for 2 goals and 1 was his. He’s currently living rent free in WSH heads. I don’t foresee Laci benching him often.
