I just don't see why Nucks go for this. They already have plenty of LHD. I like it for Montreal perspective, but I can't see why for the other side. Myers is finally done his 6mil contract (so some of that money can pay for Hronek).

Also, Matheson is considered as a leader in the Habs roster, I don't see also why Montreal will gonna did that.

But that's more about cap issues for Vancouver.

Agreed, both Matheson and Savard have become the fathers of the defense in Montreal. Matheson has stepped since arriving in Montreal (which many players have a hard time in front of their hometown especially the Quebec players... cough cough Drouin cough).

Savard decided to sign with the Habs during the 2021 free agency.

Matheson decided to waive his NMC for Montreal.

They both want to stay here.

And Drouin expectation were WAY too high on him in his 1st season with Montreal.....

Hronek probably stays in Vancouver if he's willing to sign that contract, but supposedly his demands are 7-8 mil per year long-term and that's why Vancouver hasn't extended him yet
