Description
Originally I tried to make a trade with MIN for Staal. but after looking at it closer, it really didn't make sense for MIN even if they miss the playoffs. Letestu is a solid 2 way center with playoff experience. I would rather get a Brian Boyle type center (big and dominant on the dot), but no players like that will be available. 4th and 5th round may be a bit of an over pay but judging by the standings now, there wont be many playoff worthy center's available at the deadline

Williams is must get for the islanders in my opinion. he knows Chimera, won a cup with Ladd, won 3 cups in total and played 140 total Playoff games. if Car is out of the race by the deadline the Islanders HAVE TO get Williams

Wild pass. Staal is still a 1/2C on a good contract and isn't a true rental. Look at what Hanzal cost last season, Staal is better all around.

Toews doesn't really add anything to the trade, other than AHL depth.

Yea I went back and looked at closer. It really doesn't make sense for MIN to make that trade; however Toews is still a very good prospect, MIN just doesn't need another D prospect.I still think MIN could try to move him if they are out of it, but I think it will be for a very solid C prospect and picks.
