Description
Leafs may need to slightly add in the Vatrano deal - if they do I would suggest changing the 2nd round pick to NYRs instead of Anaheims to even that out

Trades
1.
TOR
  1. 2024 4th round pick (MIN)
MIN
  1. Järnkrok, Calle
Additional Details:
Adds depth to Minnesota at a low cap hit, can play up and down the lineup. Would keep in Toronto if not for the fact they need a shakeup
2.
SEA
  1. Marner, Mitchell
Additional Details:
Marner extends in Seattle
3.
TOR
  1. 2024 7th round pick (NYR)
Additional Details:
Inexpensive Offensive defenceman. Like it or not pens fans, Dubas loves "his" guys and this fits the mould. Former Greyhound and a guy you can take a chance on.
4.
TOR
  1. Vatrano, Frank
  2. 2024 2nd round pick (ANA)
Additional Details:
Toronto sheds Kampf by moving from 23-35 in the draft. Picking up Frank Vatrano who has just 1 year left before becoming a UFA. Lose Robertson in the trade who fits the Ducks timeline better and can be locked down for a few years in Anaheim with an opportunity to play
ANA
  1. Kämpf, David
  2. Robertson, Nicholas [RFA Rights]
  3. 2024 1st round pick (TOR)

If you're to play Cowan on the 4th line, send him back to junior at 19. It'll be better for his development.

Also, I'd argue Sprong isn't necessary, especially on the 4th line, and Jarnkrok should be brought back. He's a good penalty killer and an energetic forward.

With injuries Cowan will get his chance to move up the lineup, it’s ok to start him off slow in the NHL, it won’t hurt his development.

Jarnkrok is an ok player, I wouldn’t move him other than just needing to shake things up

there is no reason for ANA to be adding anything to Vatrano there

Kampf is neg value and Robertson is nothing

Kampf is negative value, that’s why Leafs moved down in the draft getting rid of him

Vatrano is a pending UFA likely to be moved this year, Robertson fits anaheims timeline better. Leafs can add if need be

Ducks don’t want Robertson. You can have Vatrano for ~’25 1st or 2nd + at the TDL
