I get that Necas is a really good player and will continue to improve, but Hronek is also a really good player and a RD so the value increases due to the rarity of top quality RD. The value of this trade is not fair at all.

You can argue he got a Hughes bump, all players that are on his side do, but that only makes up for some of it. Hughes himself has spoke out multiple times throughout the season about how good he is. He has never spoken about other RD like that before and he loved Tanev and Schenn. That speaks volumes.
