Goiod ideas,

Cirelli is a solid selke type on that 3rd line with a bit of sandpaper, and Tanev brings an edge to that 4th line, albeit dont see that 4th line adding any offense, which kind of destroys Krebs.

I'd still like to think that they can get a more physical, shut down vet defender, and while Jokiharju is a nice player, coming off a good year (although I think your RFA offer to him is too low), thats where I'd like to see an upgrade. They have three good puck rushing/pt producers on defense, but clifton cant be the only physical/crease clearer back there

Samuelsson fits that mold.

Dahlin is a full fledged all around premier defensemen

Power is growing into that.

I'm not concerned. Having an actual structure with this coaching staff will help

Maybe, I like your hopefulness.

Just seems like we've seen this before a few times over the past 20 yrs.

TB doesn't do 170 lb defensemen it's an organizational philosophy. It doesn't matter how good you think he's going to be. TB just doesn't do undersized guys on the blueline. The smallest defenseman in the last 15 or so years to play for TB was Anton Stralman @5'11" 193lbs . Even if Johnson puts on 15 pounds no go.

He's 6'1" 195 and will round out as he's been a pro for one year
