why would Vegas take on orpik for only upgrading from a 5th to a fourth?

Cause it's all about Washington. Vegas can use that money for signing Neal or Marchessault.

agreed, it doesn't make much sense from a Vegas standpoint.

Yeah, an Orpik trade like this isn´t going to happen. Would cost a lot more for Caps, and then it´s not worth it (would be better to buy him out) so he´s staying.

Also, I don´t think DSP and Chiasson are worth close to 2 mil each. We have young players that can take their spots for half the money.
