Makes sense for both teams I think. Gunnarson could be a good fit alongside Karlsson, he played well to begin the season with Pietro. Kyrou is tearing up OHL and doing well at world juniors and I think is more than enough of a piece for a guy like Hoffman along with the draft pick.

Not to nitpick, but I believe salary retention is only able to happen for the duration of the contract, not just one season

Yeah, I was trying to figure out if this was even possible. I didn't think it was but put that in just in case. I am sure STL could figure out a way to make it work without the retention.

Yeah for sure, no doubt Armstrong couldn't find a way to make a deal work
