It’s your own fault when you don’t show up 2 months in a row.</div></div>
No he is not David Backes... or MacInnis or Pronger but he is an elite level defenseman. And the whole no leadership thing is crap and just an excuse for the media to run with when the team is doing bad.
Not to mention trading away Parayko and getting Draisaitl and Lucic would be a big change.

Pietrangelo is only 3 years older than Parayko... the captain of the team and was voted 9th overall for the Norris.. you are crazy if you think Parayko is worth more or better at anything other than a harder shot.

Yeah I was just trying to think of the best way to get AA and move a LHD. Better option would be moving Sekera or Russel if you can with their clauses. And or offersheet AA

I think Skinner would be a good fit in STL and also think with all of STL's prospects they probably have an option that Carolina would want between Thompson, Kostin, Stevens, Barbashev or even Walmen is they want a D.
Allowing Thomas and Kyrou to remain untouchable.

Arizona probably wouldn't give up Chychrun for Kessel straight up honestly.

not a horrible trade value wise. If Fabbri returns to be a good player after injury Pitt would win this trade but thats the thing no one knows how Fabrbi will return.
A lot to give up on the Blues side while taking on Hunwick.
Lines are all jacked up though, Schwartz is not a center and Bozak is a not a winger and will make more money most likely.

yeah this team is not worth Tavares time and you will most likely need to give him 8 years especially if its only at 10.5 mil.

Oilers 18/19 - realistic trades, massive improvements
Carolina says no Lindholm is worth more than a 4th liner and a second.
Dallas trade does not make sense, not sure how a 1st can be pick #40 when there are 31 teams. I would think just a straight sway Strome for Janmark would be even if Dallas wanted to do that.
Carolina might like that trade but cant see them wanting to take on Sekera for free basically. As you are trading the 1st for Faulk and then throwing in Sekera so they would probably need more.
Not sure who Safin is so I cannot say much about the AA trade but think he will get at least 3 mil from someone in an offer sheet maybe, Janmark and Lindholm will get paid more as well.

Sabs gettin nuts
I think it works for both sides but Blues fans went nuts over a similar post I saw last week that was O'Reilly for Parayko straight up.
In their defense, Adam Larsson did land NJ Taylor Hall, so Blues fans would want a player of that caliber or more I would think.

New thought
I think big moves like this are the only way the Blues turn themselves into a contender. With Tarasenko, Schenn, Schwartz, Peitrangelo all in their prime they cannot afford to wait for Thomas or Kyrou to become legit top line center/players. If they can bolster their blue line with one of the top defenseman in the league and get a solid two way center like O'Reilly I like their chances.

Could probably just be Grubauer for like a 2nd and 3rd. But if you really want that 11 overall it would need to have another 1st included at least.
So 11 overall for 2018/2019 1st, Grubauer and Barber.

They’re also getting a middle second round pick and a speedy RW that they can sign to a two way deal and throw in the bottom 6 this year on top of a cost controlled starting goalie.</div></div>
A very good backup/possible starter will not go for a 1st especially 10 overall even with the addition of barber a mid-level prospect. Goalies don't go for that much in trades.
Talbot went for a 2nd and 3rd I believe
Raanta and Stepan went for 7 overall, it took the addition of Stepan to make it a worthy 1st rounder.
Darling went for a 3rd
Elliot a 2nd
OEL trade looks pretty good though.

Keep Tatar considering how much they gave up for him.

I think if you drop the 1st from STL it would be fair. It will take a lot to poach Parayko from STL so a late round first and Hoffman probably wouldn't be enough so you add in Ceci to make it worth their while and STL gives you Fabbri to balance it out.

Carolina blockbuster. Really would like constructive feedback
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>joshelkin</b></div><div>Yeah I don't really want to trade Lee. Homerism aside, he is one of my favorite players on the team simply because he is fearless in front of the net. His hand/eye is unmatched and would be impossible to completely replace. I signed JVR for the sake of rounding out the team and giving JT another legit winger. Honestly, if Hanifin for Nelson/JHS/1st would go through, I'd do that in a heartbeat. Not sure if CAR would see that as enough value though.</div></div>
Yeah I would think Carolina would prefer a more of a 1 for 1 for Hanifin for a better center like O'reilly from Buff. But also agree with you on Lee, and I think JVR and Lee are very similar players so why not use that money on Lee someone who Tavares is already shown chemistry with.

I would guess Carolina keeps their 2 overall considering they were not expecting to get it and can really take advantage of getting Zadina to play alongside Necas, or Svechnikov if they don't see the value of Zadina and Necas chemistry from WJ.
I think more realistic is just a 1st Nelson and Ho-Sang for Hanifin. If Tavares stays I would think he would want Lee to stay on his wing.
