Description
Undoing the majority of Peter Chiarelli's disastrous missteps. Obviously, there would still have been additional moves made, and Justin Schultz likely would not have become the player he is today, but there was a dynasty-caliber group of offensive talent here that got largely dismantled through terrible UFA signings and trades.

Quite crying, Barzel was not on the Oilers radar. Shultz got booed every game and lacked confidence (something he wouldn't have gotten back in Edmonton), Gall trade may have been good not to happen but without Larrson Oilers right side is awful.

Don't think too many complained about the trades last year

Yeah, especially when you think about if they'd used some of this to do a Ryan Johansen for Seth Jones type of trade. They'd be so well set up.

People complained about the Hall for Larsson trade the second it was made because Hall is an elite talent and Larsson is a good second pairing guy, not a #1.

I am not an Oilers fan and not crying about Barzal; simply saying that they made that trade knowing who was available and prioritized Griffin Reinhart, who most people already thought was a bust, over the upside of a Barzal or Chabot.

I quite clearly explained that I don't think Schultz would have become the player he is today by staying there in the team explanation.

I've been a firm non-supporter of every signing and trade Chiarelli has made. They never made any sense and the team drastically overachieved last year on the backs of unsustainable percentages and the fact they had the best player in the world. Oh let's not forget their goaltending was out of this world and has regressed back to the mean.
