Well, not necessairly. Maroon has playoff experience, which Kane doesn't have, and he can play on any line. Plus, the conditionnal second round pick make the trade more even. I'm not so sure teams would pay such a high price for Evander Kane considering he never made the playoffs in his entire career.

The asking price for kane is a 1st, a prospect and a conditional pick (based on resigning)

its not a conditional 2nd round pick, maroon and a crappy defenseman.

your point about not making the playoffs is nonsense.

Kane isn't going to Edmonton, Because Edmonton isn't making the playoffs.
