Description

Both Hunwick and Martin have been underwhelming, and both deserve a change of scenery. Plus, San Jose gets cap relief and a 5th round pick. Martin is a great defensive d-man, and is known in Pittsburgh. Thereafter, Cole is able to be moved with Sheary as the odd player out for a higher profile player in Brassard. Ottawa needs wingers, and would benefit from receiving a solid D. Could add a little more in the Ottawa trade but I think these are fair.

Only problem I see with this is will the pens be able to take on Martin's contract for this season and the next at that caphit?

That’s fair, same with Brassards cap hit as well, and the fact we should be resigning Hörnqvist, it would be risky for the cap for sure. Only thing I can think of though is I guarantee Hagelin will probably be gone at some point next year.
