The Capitals happily accept your offer to take Orpik's last year...8 years younger, can actually skate and pass, sure he doesn't hit as much nor block shots...but he's $2.5M less to be slightly less of a liability....YES!

Heck, The Caps make it Orpik, a 1st rounder in 2018, and a 2nd rounder in 2018 if you throw in Vanek (with a little retained money) as a rental....let's do that!

Thanks, but I'm sure Leaf fans won't Like this. But it makes sense for them as they have a chance to compete for the cup. Just need some good dman and move Gardner for another solid dman or picks

Don't see the leafs giving up both Liljegren and the 1st. I would easily take Liljegren and a 2nd and run....as fast as I can

Good trades. i dont know if the leafs would do that trade. but tanev has alot of value aruond the leauge and thats what it would take to get him out of Van.
