Yandle alwayas seemed like a good fit with the Avs, so a Team looks at being a buyer at the deadline to improve the team, could they land him with a deal similar to this.
The pick and decent prospect are pretty standard as part of a rental deadline deal, question is would Rangers want a cheap guy signed long term like Holden who is a pretty respectable but not glamorous 4-6 kind of guy.
Wayyyyyyy too high a price on Yandle who would not and should not figure into the Avs future plans
normally I would agree, but that really is close to the price of the premier rentals at the deadline, teams always have to over pay. Hes not worth that but if Avs ponied up to pay rental prices, I wouldnt be shocked to see a similar deal by them or another team
My point is that the price is too high for the Avs. They are not in the market for a rental and with the cap situation they would certainly not be able to afford Yandle beyond the season, so that makes the price (for 20 games only) sort of ludicrous. It's not ludicrous if you are A) a team vying for a cup right now or B) a team that could/would realistically keep Yandle, but the Avs are neither.

I can agree with that, its too high for the Avs to pay since they shouldnt be burning assets on rentals, just fun to see if they did go all in, Yandle could be a guy I could see them target since the past few seasons Yandle ROR swap has always been talked about.
