Detroit already has a sh**load of bad contracts. They do not want Orpik, even though Samsonov is a decent prospect.

Maybe not, but if they stick him on a line with Niklas Kronwall, it'll be like they got John Carlson.

You know, because they're each 37, so if they just add their ages together, they get 74.

But seriously? Two firsts for Green and Athanasiou? The Caps already spent a first on Green. He moved to Detroit. Pass.

Dude? That rumor came from Eklund, He's hardly an reliable source he's the one linking Ilya Samsonov to Detroit no one else. Though i wouldn't doubt that Holland wouldn't ask for him in a Mike Green deal. As of now Green has only agreed to waive for Tampa nowhere else.
