Good luck convincing Pierre Dorion in eating half of Bobby Ryan's contract for this garbage offer. Need to offer far better then this if you want Dorion to eat half of Ryan's contract for the next 4 years.

Not disagreeing, but curious: If someone were to take Ryan's full contract, what is the reasonable expectation in return?

Not honestly sure that's a pretty brutal contract he has, Can't see any team taking on that contract without some retention. Dorion would probably ask for less with no retention then with retention.

There are 5-8 teams that could take the full cap hit for 4 years and not blink. Would the Sens give him up for a mid-level draft pick just to be rid of the contract?

Really?

Which ones?

Here's an informal list off the top of my head:

Vegas.

And I'm not sure about a mid round pick but I do have one idea of what they'd want in exchange:

Karlsson.
