Description
Not sure what the price for Ristolainen would be but with 7 picks in the first 3 rounds, 3 RFA centers, and a bunch of new prospects could the Rangers put a package together?

I don't even know where to start with a trade so I'm not sure how far off I am with this. Would Spooner have to be Hayes or Namestnikov? What prospects would have to be included? I would guess Buffalo has no interest in Zucc at this point in his career.

Would love some input on this.

I didn't know how that would help New York their trying to rebuild 1 GOOD player for 3 pretty good young players.

You are getting a 23 year old RHD at a really reasonable cap hit. You managed to avoid moving Andersson or Chytil. Realistically I don't see anyway they keep Namestnikov, Hayes, and Spooner next year. We could move one or 2 of them for prospects and or picks but I think this move fits into the rebuild. You never know what the assets will develp into. I think Ristolaninen is in that tier right below the elite level defensemen in the league and it also fills a huge need for the Rangers. Maybe its not the right move but it was a thought.

You are getting a 23 year old RHD at a really reasonable cap hit. A top PROSPECT, 1st and a roster player is the usual return for a player as Ristolainen. Remember a PROSPECT is just that, not a sure thing, a 1st is not a sure thing, a roster player is not a sure thing, Ristolainen is a SURE THING. If NYR want him they will have to pay the price.
