Martin is still a decent defenseman, you could still just trade him for a 6th/7th rounder or future considerations.

Well, they do get a higher pick that way, but ur right too, and if Thornton still looks good enough to the Sharks after his injury to play for them again next year, it prob wont b just 1m

I'd rather just send Martin over for a 7th or something. Doubt that happens. Or future considerations like someone said.
