If you sign thornton and not have him with marleau there is no point in signing him

What makes you say that? They played together a fair amount in San Jose, but far from exclusively (especially when Marleau and Thornton were relied upon to center their own lines.)

I've been thinking for a while Pysyk is the perfect guy for the leafs... Right shot, defensively sound, not too expensive
BUT Florida obviously has no interest in dealing him (seeing as they protected him the the expansion draft)
