Description
I feel Hinostroza gets a one year deal at 2+ million, or a multi-year deal around 1.5, just to make sure we don’t have a Panik repeat, and to just make sure he can sustain the good season he’s been having.

It’s alreay been made clear that Wingels might come back to Chicago in the offseason, and it seems like a good possibility.

Honestly, the Hawks probably won’t get Boqvist, but it’s fun to think about it.

Dylan Sikura will hopefully get a contract.

With Victor Edjsell coming in, Anisimov will be expendable after he works with Edjsell on being in front of the net on the power play.

I think we could see Berube get the backup spot next season, and Forsberg could get better in the minors. He's actually been pretty good this year, but the Crawford injury made him look worse.

The Arty trade just gets us a pick and cap space that isn't really needed, but it opens up a spot for the grand Hossa return that probably won't happen. But if he came back, it'd be a big help to a team that has struggled to both score and keep pucks out of their own net on certain stretches this year.

Hawks run with 7 d-man, rotating Seabrook, Forsling, and Boqvist for the 6th and 7th positions. Going with 7 defense means we have to go with 11 forwards up front, not 12. Kane can double shift on the 4th line with Kampf and Wingels, and occasionally getting the third line with Edjsell and Vinnie.

Anisimov isn't worth a first round pick. Try like 2nd and 4th or a low prospect and a 3rd. And put Hayden on fourth line wing cause the Hawks will never double shift kane let alone any player unless there has been an injury.

You are probably right about the first and Arty. However, Kane has been double shifted before, and you can’t put Hayden on the fourth line if you have 7 defenseman playing. You’ll probably say, “Don’t play 7 defenseman then” but that is a more dire need then a fourth liner when Kane has played a double shift there before and can again. He probably wouldn’t do it every game, but he’d do it a lot, and it’d provide extra scoring.

There's no way Oesterle, Rutta, Forsling, Boqvist, and especially Gustafsson are playing over Seabrook. You can say what you want about his contract and of course he's not worth 6.875 mill but he's still a capable number 4 defenseman. If they were to rotate 7 D it would be between Gus, Boqvist, and Forsling.

I know Seabrook is still pretty good. But regardless, I still see him being used best when he’s not having to play upwards or 20 minutes a night every night. It wears him down faster then others. Look at Duncan Keith for instance. A lot more turnovers this season that lead directly to goals against. I guess we’ll find out more at the start of next season. Who knows, maybe missing the playoffs will give him the rest he needs, and he can be that 3-4 guy. If we’re lucky, maybe even a number 2. But Oesterle has been great this year, Gustafson is playing amazing as of late (obviously it won’t stay at this pace).

If AA doesn't get a 1st...id just keep him. You have more than enough cap space and that center depth looks weak to me. And if you need to tuen around and get another center...just keep your known center who by the way fits your system and is their best net front presence performer. Hino is better as a winger in my opinion.
