Description
I'll keep on dreaming, but obviously if this were to hypothetically happen, extensions would have to be agreed upon prior to the trade. The Callahan contract can be moved with an asset before the next season, or he can contract a skin disorder, or worst case we can buy him out. The Killorn contract can be moved too for some middle-of-the-road assets, if necessary.

Yzerman isn't gonna trade Palat. And I don't think doughty is the answer on the backend. after next season 4 of 6 defensman will be UFA's. Need more than 1 d man. I agree that stevy Y trades mcdonagh but i dont think it would be smart to go all in on one guy that gives Tampa no Defensive depth.

The only reason I see Palat being moved is the fact that his NTC doesn't kick in until next year. They can keep him and make it work for another year at least, but I think it might be better to get out in front of the cap chase somehow. Maybe they can do a Palat+Dotchin+Pick trade for a lower cap hit RHD like a Manson?

Way too much for Doughty considering what Tampa gave up for McD and Miller. I’d go either McD or Sergachev (preferably for value reasons Serg)+a 1st round pick and 2nd round pick. U cant ship Coburn’s contract for a 3rd. Maybe make it part of the Doughty package.
