Description
Rick Nash will bring back some of the size that leaves with Anisimov, who heads out to bring back a 4th liner/penalty killer, and we get TVR back, to steady the back end. Forsling doesn’t really have a spot in the line up anymore, so we can send him to Buffalo with Berube and the pick for the better fringe starter in Lehner, who can lighten up the load on Crow. Let me know who you think the Hawks will draft this year, with a pick most likely coming from 5-10, depending on the lottery. With that, you could alter this to see maybe Highmore or Gustafsson back in Rockford to see that pick playing in the NHL. This dynasty is not over. They have a few more years.

    I don't think you're signing Nash at 2x3... More like 2x6 or 3x5.

He’s gonna have to take a serious pay cut, but you are probably right. However, if he has to go past 4 then it’s not gonna happen.

If Nash costs more...which he probably will...then I don't want him. He's just not worth it.

I really like the Carolina trade, I've been promoting it for a while. The Hawks clearly miss Kruger's game and TvR is a responsible and more than adequate #5 defenseman that can log top 4 minutes on occasion which is exactly what the Hawks need.

The Hawks need a legitimate #2 LW who's open to a 1 year deal because Panarin will be a UFA in the summer of 2019 and he would be the ideal long-term solution at #2 LW. But is Nash really the guy? IMO, Kovalchuk would be my first candidate followed by Neal and Perron then Nash.

Of course Bowman could get naughty and sign James van Riemsdyk to a long -term deal hence foregoing any opportunity for a Panarin return.

If I had a say tho I would want Kovalchuk playing with Schmaltz and Kane. That would be a pretty sick line that could potentially break the NHL.

The problem with Nash is that he's too similar to Saad so it would be a bit redundant to have 2 virtually identical players. IMO, the more diversity in skill-set the better.
