Value on the MaxPac deal seems decent, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Isles say no anyways - losing Tavares makes it likely they'd be looking at a retool/rebuild, and under those circumstances generally you're not trying to get older guys. Frankly, if y'all can make that situation happen I'd forego trading MaxPac and signing JvR, and just keep MaxPac.
