You can get more for Max, not the biggest fan of Zadina but still shows improvement

Filip Zadina is a very similar player to Nico Hischier in multiple assets of his game. Stats are similar and Filip Zadina was probably the nicest surprise at the IIHF World Junior 2018.

I feel the Pacioretty trade is fair given he only has 1 year left to his contract and Victor Rask has 4 years left at 4M. He is also younger (25 years old). I also forgot to include Philip Danault in the lineup.

I don't have much interest in Zadina either, number 5 on my list. Dahlin, Svechnikov, Bouchard, Walhstrom are players I'm the most excited about, however Zadina and Tkatchuk will obviously be solid prospects too.

I really hope Evans signs with Montreal, if he holds out he will be a UFA and can go anywhere he wants. For this reason I suggest you sign him to the max entry level contract not 850k.

Don't like the pacioretty trade, should get a better return for him.

He will be a great player I just don’t think another scoring winger is what the Habs need in this draft and agree with CaptianFlynnt that I’d be looking At Svechnikov, Bouchard and Wahlstrom ahead of him, ideally trading down a spot or two to get an asset and one of those prospects.

The value of Max isn’t age though, he is the third best goal scorer over the past 5 years, one of the top 5 best left wingers in the game and would jump to Carolina’s best forward when he got there (yes I think he is better than Jeff Skinner). He won’t have that role for long with Teurovinan breaking out but still would be there top forward. For that you can’t just get back a #3 center and a 2nd, Max is a top line player and still has a number of good years left.

I compare it to the Rick Nash trade, Boston gave up Riley Spooner (a center that’s better than Rask), a 1st, a 3rd and another prospect. Max is far better than Nash, is half the price and 4 years younger. That all points to a bigger return
