Every team in the East must have one player representation.. I do agree that all of these players should be present at the all-star game but those are tough decisions. I would remove Hamilton, Holtby, Drouin, and Pastrnak. Replace them by Ekblad/Carlson, Price, Kucherov, and Marchand.

LA is not going to do this. Vilardi + 2nd 2019 would be enough for Pacioretty. Nothing more.

I do not see top picks being traded unfortunately. Montreal will keep their 3rd overall unless the New York Rangers or Edmonton Oilers have a good offer for 9th-10th pick.

I believe Montreal would seriously think about this trade option. In the other hand, Calgary has been giving away 1st round picks for a few years now. I would like to see them rebuild through the draft.

I would do this trade as a Habs fan. Trading away Pacioretty (31 years old) for 2 very young centers and a potential first PP defenseman would be amazing. On the other hand, the Kings would be depleted of prospects. Hence why we would give them the 3OA.

Montreal will not give straight up the 3rd pick overal... O'reilly is valuable but this draft is full of valuable assets. Any players picked in the top-10 has potential to be a star in the league. Very rare commodity.

At this point, I would like 2 players for Pacioretty. A young prospect and an established player. The second option would be a 1st round draft pick (I am sure Bergevin would love an additional pick around 10th 11th position in the first round. So my thinking is 1st round draft pick from EDM and Sekera for Pacioretty and a 2nd draft pick.

From a Habs perspective, I am looking at Derick Brassard and Olli Matta. Not saying you need to include both players, just saying those can be a starting point.

Agreed. He would be mentally stronger after all these trade talks.. Take the C off of him just like the Kings did for Dustin Brown and I am sure he would find back his touch quickly. Gallagher and Weber are truly the leaders of that team for the next 4-5 years.

I would love to see this trade happen for Montreal. That would mean they do not draft Kotkaniemi. They could go for Zadina or Tkachuk instead.

Also, Lekhonen, Hudon, and Scherbak would get the promotion that they need to further their development.

Signing Statsny could be interesting too in UFA.. Or Bozak.

Very neat team you have presented here for the upcoming draft! Well done. I would make the following changes to make your lineup a bit more realistic in comparison to where they will come out during the draft:
-Swap Zadina and Wahlstrom since they are not in their respective position.
-Swap Hayton with Kotkaniemi.
-Swap Boqvist with Dobson.

Forbort or Rieder alone would be worth more than Lucic in my opinion. They may not put up stats like Lucic did in the past but they sure dont have a bad contract associated with them.
