I really hate that trade for Zaderov. He was part of the O'Reilly trade and since, DATM traded away, Pysyk, McNabb, Myers and Zaderov, the Buffalo defense has been terrible. Now you value him way above Gardiner's 52 pts, amazing.

Calgary is not getting (fleeced) yet again in a trade with Toronto. Tkachuk isn’t going anywhere, unless you add significantly more

Gards is a UFA after next year. Are you tying 6.5-7 million up to keep him? Toronto's D is getting chewed up because they give the opposition all the time and space in the world. They have ZERO jam in the top two pairings. It's about team balance, not personal stats.

I'm waiting for Leaf fans to claim Nylander for Tkachuk = TOR getting fleeced. They're both great. I just like Chuky's physicality and his ability to dish, as well as the chemistry with 34 and 16.

EDIT: please, show me what significantly more means. What's your counter look like?

He is a great player. But also has the heart and determination that can’t be taught. A true team guy. His response to having increased his point total this year was along the lines of “I don’t care, it wasn’t enough to get us to playoffs”. He will be our captain. Just a matter of when. The most untouchable player in the flames system. Anyways....long winded response to your question. Start with Marner then MAYBE we’d listen! Lol
