Tavares will get more than that, and Colorado won't have interest in getting another 1C, they already have MacKinnon

neither tavares or carlson fit in colorado.

COL already has a #1C in mackinnon
COL already has johnson and barrie playing RD, with multiple A-level prospects on the way (makar, timmins) in addition to a decent prospect in meloche. theres simply no room for carlson on the right side

Agree that there is no logical place for Carlson, given Barrie, EJ and the kids, but I see no issues with have two #1C. It works for PIT. It will work for EDM, and it could work for COL. I do think JT will get more than that if it is a 6 year contract. But $10.75M is a reasonable number for 8 years I think.

Seems like an overpayment for Holtby, though I am not sure he could be had for less.
