19/20 hypothetical all-In Red Wings having won the Dahlin lottery went big in UFA. Contracts aren't overly thought out. Mantha is on the second year of a bridge (2 year $3M) and Larkin got some term (5 years $21.25M). I put Bert on a 3 year $1.25M/year contract just because I guess. Not much thought in that one. Frk's hanging around as a happy #13. I thought about putting Pope on the roster but I'm not jinxing that yet. Z seeing a decent team decides to stay around and play third line wing with Nielsen instead of retiring.

The big UFAs are of course OEL and Tavares. I signed Tavares one year too many because he'd be signed in 18 not 19 but oh well. I signed Vanek again but you could sign any winger that you'd like and I prefer a righty.

Traded AA and a first (specific first wasn't really thought out) for Raanta. This might be an overpayment(?), but I'm swinging for the fences here. Wish I had another RH D-man but it is what it is. Think it's still a good scoring winger from a cup team but it could contend in a perfect world. The D is probably still a bit too inexperienced as well but I think it would be solid enough.

Anyways, there's a pretty fair chance this is what our roster never looks like.
