Description
Winnipeg could technically sign Trouba this summer, then go for another run next year, but then they’ll be forced to trade him if they want to keep their other players. I feel most people would agree with me if I say Trouba is getting under used in Winnipeg and would look nice in Chicago. Unfortunately, I don’t see Winnipeg making a deal with Chicago if it doesn’t involve Debrincat, or the 8th overall pick. Clearly, we ARE NOT moving Debrincat, so that 1st would be gone. They could try to move up with the Nashville pick+++, but I don’t see it happening.

Murphy is expendable even before we get Trouba, so now he is a must move asset, and really, he could go to any team, but I see him slotting in well on the 2nd or 3rd pairing in Vegas.

I figure Jet fans won't like it but I do. If, if, the Jets are going to have cap issues in the next two years with Trouba, and miss out on signing other player....getting the 8th overall, without getting any cap back might be the best deal the Jets can get.
Don't know Vegas has another use for Murphy....maybe no team is unsure of him play/term and salary.

Thanks for the feedback! I see you’re point on Murphy. Honestly, he can go anywhere that wants him, as long as we don’t get fleeced in the trade.

I was going to make a VERY similar post yesterday. Happy you did. It's not as if Chevy and Bowman haven't traded before. In fact, Bowman trades ALOT within the division. I could 100% see Trouba enjoying himself if Chicago. The #8 overall is a STEEP price because the hawks also can't spend all willy nilly either. Trouba is going to make a lot of money. They'll have to trade Murphy or other cap first otherwise he's back in a bickell scenario and he won't get sh*t for anyone.

Well, I see 6x6 a reasonable price for Trouba, and if he wants more, then I’d be signing him to a bridge deal at 6 million. Also, I completely agree that we have to move cap space so we can get value for players, instead of something like the Bickel incident.
