so why do the hawks barely get anything on top of giving up a #8pick to ottawa when ottawa flips everyone for faulk, rask and another 1st? looool. hawks can just trade that to carolina and get away better offer. nice try though.

Ottawa is taking on Hossa's contract for the next 3 years and Chicago gets Hoffman and Ceci.

That's why Ottawa gets a 1st from Chicago.

Hossa's contract is meaningless, except for the fact that Melnyk looks like he's paying a lot, when he's actually only paying about a million dollars. There is absolutely no use for Chicago to offload it, considering it's chaep and can be LTIRed for no cap hit.
